Good Morning

Dust motes dancing
                             diving
              through streaks of
early morning light

The sheets rustle
                         rasping
                 fabric beneath
muscles gone taunt

A sigh and turn
                       insistent
           gentle pressure of
an arm encircling

Buried in my hair
                         nuzzling
             warmth soaking in
through flesh to flesh contact

Fragrance of skin
                          musky
             heady and familiar
I’m lost in your scent

Your lips pull me back
                              softly
               reels me in on
a tether of soul

  1. That's really beautiful...and I'm not just saying that because I don't know you.

    I like it!

  2. Aw, thank you! I occasionally dabble in poetry, but very rarely feel like sharing any of it. I'm not terribly skilled with verse.

But I'm really glad you like this! Big ego boost for me.

  3. Well you've certainly showed skill here.

I dabble as well, mostly when I'm depressed...I dabble a lot.
